STRAWBERRY LOTUS (Strawberry Milk x Snow Lotus)
Strawberry Lotus is our flagship 1:1 THC:CBD flower. We had been searching for a 1:1 THC:CBD cultivar worthy of our garden for a few growing seasons. Cultivar after cultivar failed to pass the literal sniff test. Our Strawberry Lotus pheno fitting into this slot was a happy accident.
We brought the Strawberry Lotus in because we were intrigued by the potential exotic expressions of Bodhi Seed's venerated Strawberry Milk mama with his Snow Lotus male. We also wanted to add a strawberry terpene profile to our flower offering. Nothing in her lineage suggested to our fledgling genetic knowledge that she would have high CBD, but we were wrong. The plant we selected for her creamy, strawberry-diesel aroma and resin coverage during our pheno hunt serendipitously tested at 8.2% THC and 7% CBD.
what does the 1:1 ratio mean?
THC and CBD work best together. Studies have found that CBD and THC work synergistically, compounding each other's therapeutic effects. CBD is most effective as an analgesic when administered in combination with THC. This is also true of THC--patients given a combination of THC and CBD reported less pain than those given THC alone. THC binds primarily to the brain's CB1 receptors while CBD primarily regulates how cannabinoids (such as THC) interact with those cannabinoid receptors. This includes preventing THC from activating the receptors which mitigates THC's psychoactive effect. All of this chemistry means that 1:1 flower produces a relaxing body high without any residual anxiety.
